THE CAR-0-TRONIC Classic has been the mainstay of Car-0-Liner's computerised measuring systems for many years but now there is an entry level version, the Car-0-Tronic Lite. Lite is more affordable and utilises Classic's heavy duty design and user friendly software whilst retaining similar capabilities but it does not have the upper body measuring facility.
With a database of over 12,600 vehicles, believed to be the largest database in the world, Car-0-Tronic's software can easily find the right data for each vehicle.One of the biggest assets of the Lite is that it is compatible with any alignment system on the market today providing a specially developed adapter kit is added.
Car-0-Liner say that there are just three easy steps.
- The user registers the work order and enters the car make and model
- The measurement is conducted
- Finally the results are printed out.
The measuring slide is fitted with protective rubber "bumper zones" to protect sensors. The slide mounts and moves on the measuring bridge. The rails carry microscopic markings to enable the measuring head, which is located beneath the slide, to determine its horizontal position.Users can document the entire process in text and pictures so insurance companies can be easily emailed directly from within the system in a Windows based environment.
Service and back-up with full parts is offered by Car-0-Liner Australlia with maintenance contracts and regular training courses to help bodyshop operators keep abreast with the technology.
Australia's managing director for Car-0-Liner said insurance companies are more than happy with Car-0-Liner's products in general and would be happier, however, if bodyshops had their units serviced regularly.
