It's amazing the stuff I come across trying to find a reasonably amusing or interesting video for the newsletter once a week. I couldn't pass this one by - the Huffington Post's top 10 sad songs about car crashes.
I'm really very chuffed at coming across this because I had never seen the video of the Shangri-Las Leader of the Pack, which I then had to share with the office. 'Johnny' is one of the funniest and least bad bad boys I've ever seen and I love the sleeping possum the lead singer seems to have on her head. How Meatloaf's Bat out of Hell can be shoved in at number 11 is beyond me, but then spending time compling this also seems a curious waste of life!
The top 10 sad songs about car crashes (although there are 11 in the list???) are:
- Jan and Dean "Dead Man's Curve"
- Bruce Springsteen "Wreck on the Highway"
- Pearl Jam "Last Kiss"
- Kanye West "Through the Wire"
- Radiohead "Killer Cars" & "Airbag"
- The Shangri-Las "Leader of the Pack"
- Simple Plan, "Untitled (How Could This Happen To Me?)"
- KISS "Detroit Rock City"
- Mark Dinning "Teen Angel"
- Barenaked Ladies "Tonight is the Night I Fell Asleep at the Wheel"
- Meat Loaf "Bat Out of Hell"
