It was the Australian collision repair industry's night of nights as our regional and national winners of the 2016 Paint & Panel Bodyshop Awards dressed up for a swanky presentation dinner at the Establishment ballroom in Sydney's CBD on Friday 21 October.
Among the winners were some familar faces and industry veterans yet pleasingly, new kids on the block ready to shake things up in the smash repair landscape. Guests were invited to eat, drink and celebrate their incredible achievements in building businesses that have weathered storms, remained upbeat and generally crushed it.
Paint & Panel editor Sam Street was also given the opportunity to showcase her skills as a budding videographer (and promised to go on a course to get better) as individual clips for each repairer were splashed across the big screen in an impressive display of their winning talent. These will be uploaded this week onto Paint & Panel's youtube channel.
The guests heard from Platinum sponsors James Frape of Compass Claims and Axalta Coating Systems' Steven Brett who also presented many of the awards. Gold sponsor Mercedes-Benz and Silver sponsors Collision Repair Expo, Glasurit, Norton Saint-Gobain, Holden, Car Craft, MTAA also took to the stage to present awards.
