Compass managing director James Frape has been a passionate supporter of the Paint & Panel Bodyshop awards and was the first to put his hand up as a major sponsor when the new-look awards were launched three years ago.
Compass, the original replacement vehicle company, is totally focussed on servicing and supporting autobody repairers and Frape 'gets it' in terms of the challenges that the industry faces.
“We identify strongly with our repairer customers. We're still a family business at heart like so many repairers out there and we're a business that knows a great deal about operating in a sometimes hostile and difficult marketplace.
“That's why we get so much satisfaction from sponsoring these awards and recognising the outstanding businesses who not only navigate choppy business waters but create an efficient, tight ship that that sails through whatever the conditions,” Frape said.
These awards have been developing each year to include as many of the aspects of the industry as possible. They recognise so many diverse bodyshops that nevertheless have a number of characteristics in common.
“All of the winners continually adapt to or anticipate marketplace challenges, they value the team that works for them, they are constantly experimenting with ways to be more efficient, invest in training and they are all dedicated to customer satisfaction.
I particularly urge repairers who have never been involved in these awards before to nominate themselves for at least one award – national recognition for you and your team raises your industry profile and your staff's morale.”
