Having to get up at 3.30am to get to Melbourne from Sydney on Tuesday sucked if I'm honest, but it did mean we (judge Neil Powell and editor Sam Street) arrived nice and early and hit our first shop Top Tech Panels at 9am. Top Tech was a great one to start with - fantastic kerb appeal, stunning reception, great attitude.
From Monday to Thursday we visited a fair few shops in the two states and once again marvelled at the number of vastly different approaches to the business that seem to work extremely well. The overwhealming majority of shops we visited were run by passionate, professional, dedicated people. It's a priviledge to be welcomed into so many businesses and thank you so much for everyone taking time out of their busy day to take us on a tour.
We're off to Queensland next week - if anyone we visit on Thursday after the State of Origin match has a hangover we promise to speak quietly. Perth and Adelaide will be the week after.
