This award is for businesses who are really next-level and shine in every aspect.
Bissell’s Paint & Panel, QLD
Bissell’s Paint & Panel has won a number of awards since 2020 including Best Shop three times in different categories and Best Workplace. The business is exemplary, the shop flow and processes are poetry in motion. Profits and productivity are up since adopting a four-day work week and it’s refreshing to meet a collision repair business owner for whom profit is not whispered like a profane word.
Boxes across the board are ticked: sustainability, succession plan, community involvement, positive workplace culture, apprentices, eco-conscious, profitable.
The workshop is clean, organised and superbly equipped. Both the customer and staff areas are stunning. Its submission states: “Operating with transparency and integrity, Bissell’s upholds high ethical standards. We employ a streamlined workflow, including a sophisticated scheduling system, multi-stage quality checks, lean principles, and high-efficiency spray booths.” They were pipped at the post this year.
