This is a new category this year to include hail, restoration, heavy and other specialist repairers.
Bears Auto/Incar, NSW
Bears director Steve Lozenkovski is not afraid to try something new whether its making his own detailing products or starting a micro brewery. His new venture in NSW combines challenging work and giving back to the community. Incar provides ADAS calibrations, child restraint fitment, car audio, camera and safety equipment, auto electrical and AC services and now EV diagnostics and repairs. The company’s main focus is vehicle mobility modifications including hand controls, wheelchair access and transfer solutions. This service is an end to end solution for new equipment or repairing existing modified vehicles that have been involved in a collision.
The vision is to roll out this specialty service nationally. The company has had an overwhelmingly positive response from insurers and occupational therapists to provide a seamless solution to servicing vehicles that have been involved in an accident or require repairs or modifications. As an example, in a conventional situation if a vehicle with wheelchair access has been involved in a collision the vehicle will need to move between several different repairers. The key to key for this is typically months leaving vulnerable clients with limited or no mobility.
The service offers clients, OTs and insurers a complete in-house service reducing key to key drastically and providing a single contact point keeping clients updated on repairs. These types of repairs are usually regarded as resource-heavy by the general repair network and insurers have welcomed a solution to repairs that are otherwise turned away.
