Pat’s Pro Resto’s & Refinishing

This is an outstanding restoration business: highly professional; great workshop; close-knit team.

Pat’s Pro Resto’s & Refinishing (PPR) specialise in everything from minor repairs to full turn-key restorations. PPR’s expertise covers rust and body repairs, paintwork and detailing, fabrication, mechanical services, and there’s also an impressive interior trimming workshop. Since 2010, PPR has showcased its award-winning restorations at prestigious national events like Meguiar’s MotorEx, with a consistent, large haul of trophies to show for their work.

As Pat says: “We are a passionate and talented team driven to deliver service excellence. We refer to our customers as valued friends and build trust by keeping their needs and wants at the centre of what we do. We take pride in our work and support and respectfully challenge each other to flawlessly deliver each component that passes through our hands. There is no compromise on quality. We build on our trusted reputation by working with businesses who share similar values and work ethic.”

Each build becomes a “campfire” that unites friends, families, and communities. This passionate team feels that working on these cars is a privilege.

Over the past two years, PPR expanded operations with the addition of a specialised assembly and maintenance facility, along with a trim and interior shop. These expansions have afforded PPR enhanced control over project management, resulting in cost-saving benefits for clients. With plans underway to incorporate 3D printing, PPR will soon offer custom-designed parts.

There is a queue to have your car restored here with a two-to-three-year waitlist. Vehicles restored by PPR regularly feature in top publications like Street Machine, and on channels like Performance Garage, and the company sponsors key car and community events, supporting the automotive culture it values.

Strategic reinvestment of profits into equipment and debt-free growth has built a strong financial foundation.

Within the workshop, PPR maintains a close-knit, family-oriented culture, encouraging open communication through toolbox meetings, one-on-one sessions, and casual celebrations. There is a cultivated culture of respect, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

Pat’s Pro Resto’s is celebrated as Australia’s most awarded classic car restoration business, having restored over 50 vehicles, four of which have gained international acclaim. In 2023, a PPR restoration earned the title “Australia’s Best Ever Show Car” at Meguiar’s MotorEx, and in 2024, Director Pat O’Shea was named Australia’s Master Craftsman.

The company’s culture of staff care is supported through flexible work arrangements, individual growth opportunities, and a commitment to safe, well-equipped workspaces.

Not many restoration shops have the time or resources to bring on apprentices but Pat’s does with three on the tools.

When it comes to involvement with the restoration community PPR are up all in. The judging panel was impressed with the detailed award submission thoroughly covering every aspect of the business.
