Over 200 seats have been bought for the 2022 Bodyshop Awards gala dinner in Melbourne on 11 November. Tickets are first come best dressed so make sure you don't miss out of your chance to cheer for the finalists and winners. If you've won an award in the last two years when we have presented them virtually we would love for you to join us and we'll get you up on stage for some in person recognition.
One of the categories that will be announced in Melbourne is the Best New shop. The finalists are:
Collision 1, Perth, WA
Collision 1 is a brand new purpose built shop in Perth’s northern suburbs. It is owned by Paul Smith who is also the owner workshop planning system 1Q1. Collision 1 aims to repair 40-50 insurance claims per week and has a simple but effective workflow layout.
Gemini Rockhampton, Rockhampton, QLD
This is a stunning new shop with well defined work areas and is extremely well maintained by the team. As well as collision repairs there's a mechanical area too. The parts area was especially well presented and organised.
MSR Crestmead
Gargantuan, mahoosive these are the words that come to mind here. It's a total loss assessment centre too, so the cars are towed in to one area and then those than can be repaired go into the workshop. There's a bewlidering number of cars on site but it is very well organised with a clear workflow.
