Melbourne-based TAFE Chisholm Institute will this week roll out a new course in vinyl application.
The advanced program has been developed around a unit of competency called 'AURVT009 – Apply vehicle body film wrapping' where students can learn the skills over three vehicle body types over three days gaining a certificate upon completion.
The Institute will also offer an entry level program called 'Introduction to Vinyl Application' which will walk learners through basic vinyl skills over four three-hour evening sessions.
In addition, the unit will be integrated in all paint and panel programs throughout tertiary year 2017 as part of Certificates in Automotive Body Repair Technology and Certificate III in Automotive Refinishing Technology.
