Axalta Coating Systems has completed the roll out of its expanded Nason Industrial portfolio to meet the growing demand from general industrial coatings segments across Australia. Customers can access a compact and complete coatings package that now incorporates new Direct To Metal (DTM) and ISO-Free topcoats and binder technology to complement the fully integrated offering of primers, activators and thinners.
The new Naso industrial coatings system has been specifically engineered to offer both versatility and value using new concentrated colour tints and binders focussed on specific coating types. Axalta’s offering of 15 concentrated solid tints and 3 metallic tints combined with the system’s binders and spectrophotometer, creates a coatings package that can cater for virtually every conceivable general industrial application.
The newly launched ISO-Free and DTM topcoats provides outstanding colour and gloss retention in addition to excellent adhesion, flexibility and hiding. Proven technologies like 2K polyurethanes and alkyds enamels will remain the key components of the topcoat product offering.
“We are looking more closely at manufacturers and repairers of all types of general industrial and agricultural equipment and how we can provide coatings that not only last longer but maintain the brand integrity of their equipment,” said John Nettleton, Axalta’s Product and Colour Manager for Australia.
The topcoats offer excellent performance, sag resistance and flow, especially on complex shapes with overlapping spray zones. The tints provide tighter control of ready-to-spray viscosity and improved atomisation for excellent flow and levelling to a smooth, high gloss appearance. Furthermore, fast processing and shorter drying times result in increased productivity and cost effectiveness in the coating process.
“Our customers want more attention to improved productivity, quality, less rework and reduced waste. Nason Industrial’s new range of tints and binders meet these needs, providing durability, corrosion protection and excellent resistance to chemicals and weathering, as well as shock and impact. With a complete system and colour matching tools, including the Acquire Standard Spectrophotometer and colour retrieval software, our customers can minimise mistakes with less capital tied up in inventory,” Nettleton said.
Partial and overall repair capabilities make Nason Industrial the ideal choice for newly manufactured and refurbished equipment. Especially sectors that encompass construction and agricultural equipment, waste handling machinery, pump equipment, concrete handling machinery, trailers and others where high quality corrosion protection and premium coatings are required.
