The Victorian Transport Accident Commission (TAC) recently unveiled its latest safety campaign invovling a representation of how humans need to evolve to survive car crashes.

Royal Melbourne Hospital trauma surgeon Christian Kenfield and Monash University Accident Research Centre crash investigator David Logan enlisted the help of sculptor Patricia Piccinini to bring to life Graham.

Graham is a shocking and somewhat creepy construction of what a human should supposedly look like to survive a high impact car crash.

With hoof-like feet, an enlarged head and a ripple of 'sacks' cushioning his rib cage, Graham acts as a reminder to the fragility of the human body behind the wheel.

The 'Meet Graham' campaign includes a dedicated website that allows users to interact with Graham and features a 360 degree tool that zones in on his enhanced body parts to describe in detail their function in protecting him in a fatal crash.

You can take a look here.

'Meet Graham' is part of the TAC's 'Towards Zero' campaign which aims to reduce the number of vehicle related deaths on our roads.
