Ready, set, jet

Everyone knows that drag races are fast, but these jet-powered dragsters take that speed to another level in this week's video.

These machines use a jet turbine to easily reach speeds of over 290 miles per hour over the quarter mile race.

For comparison, a high-performance drag car can win races with a speed of approximately 165mph over the same distance.
