I-CAR Australia Board Chairman Mark Brady has announced that the inaugural CEO of the organisation Richard Pratt will retire on 1 May 2015.

“Almost nine years to the day that the original Licence Agreement was negotiated in Brisbane, Richard Pratt has decided the time is right to commence another chapter in his life. The Board was made aware of his intentions some time ago and implemented a succession plan for this event,” said Mark Brady.

Effective at the Annual General Meeting on April 22nd, Mark Czvitkovits will be appointed Chief Executive Officer. Czvitkovits  joined I-CAR as an instructor back in 2006, and for the last three years has held the role of Operations and Technical Coordinator.

Richard Pratt will remain a trustee of the organisation and will become a board Advisor. He has agreed to work on specific projects as required by the Board in conjunction with Mark Czvitkovits and will continue to liaise with industry participants in southeast Asia.

Richard came to I-CAR Australia from his previous position as MTAQ General

Manager with an immense challenge to educate and train the Collision Repair Industry, with incredible support from different sectors of the industry. Supported by the inaugural Board with limited funds and resources, Richard and his expert team have brought I-CAR Australia to the forefront of the body repair

industry. Richard would often start with this quote at numerous functions ‘I-CAR is a stand-alone, autonomous and fiercely independent institution, a not for profit organisation that will deliver postq ualification, skills enhancement training to the collision industry across Australia’,” said Brady.

“From my point of view, and that of the current Board, Richard has achieved this and much more. Richard has set an immense platform for us to continue with for the future setting great relationships with OEM’S and strategic partners.

“Richard we thank you for the hard work and dedication you have given to I-CAR Australia,” Brady said.
