NRMA/RACV insurance alliance complete
INDUSTRY NOTES n-nrmaRACV achieved a significant milestone last month with the full implementation of its insurance alliance with NRMA Insurance.
From about the middle of June 2000, all new policies are to be written by Insurance Manufacturers of Australia (IMA), the company established by RACV and the NRMA as a result of merging their personal lines insurance operations.
And the NRMA Insurance brand will disappear from Victoria with all Victorian policies taken by the RACV.
IMA produces motor, home and other general insurance products for RACV to distribute in Victoria. It is responsible for product design, pricing, underwriting and claims management.
