Nominations are pouring in for this year's Women in Collision Awards. Now in their 10th year, the awards recognise the amazing women who shine in Australian collision repair. Back in the day it was administration and customer service where the bulk of women worked in this industry although you could exchange 'admin and accounts' for actually running the business.

Now we have a wide range of categories which reflect women's roles in today's industry. These are: Owner/Manager; Technician/Estimator; Parts Manager; Administration; and Industry Supplier Representative.

It's been fantastic to see the number of nomination in the Technician/Estimator category rise sharply in the last couple of years - Parts Manager is on the rise too.

If you have an outstanding team member make sure you nominate them now. The more detail you put in the nomination about why your nominee should win the better. The judging panel is made up of last year's winners, accordingly it's new people each year. So, if you've nominated before and your nominee wasn't selected as a finalist then nominate them again. If you are looking for inspiration for your nomination you can find two winning nominations from last year in the 'About' section of the Women in Collision Website. Nominations close on 22 November but don't leave it until the last minute.

The awards are presented at a gala lunch with fantastic speakers at an awesome venue in Sydney on February 14 which everyone is welcome to attend.

Thanks to our Platinum sponsor IAG who has supported these awards for 10 years and to all of the other sponsors who love to see the spotlight shone on the amazing women in our industry.

There's a Women in Collision Facebook group which has over 400 members which industry women are most welcome to join.
