The all-electric Zeekr X has officially been awarded a 5-star rating from ANCAP. The Zeekr X was awarded:
- 91% Adult occupant protection
- 87% Child occupant protection
- 84% Vulnerable Road user protection
- 84% safety assist
With its debut in the local market, the result highlights the advanced safety features of Zeekr vehicles. The compact luxury SUV is developed from the state-of-the-art Sustainable Experience Architecture (SEA) for pure EVs. The Zeekr X ensures structural safety and supports advanced driver assistance systems through internal anti-collision beams, 360-degree head protection from 7 airbags and an intelligent driver assistance system which includes 5 cameras, 5 millimetre-wave radar devices, and 12 ultrasonic radar devices.
Dual frontal, side chest-protecting and side head-protecting airbags are all standard. A centre airbag provides added protection against occupant-to-occupant interaction in the case of a side-impact crash. Autonomous emergency braking (Car-to-Car, Vulnerable Road User, Junction Assist and Back over) as well as a lane support system with lane keep assist (LKA), lane departure warning (LDW) and emergency lane keeping (ELK), and an advanced speed assistance system (SAS) with a speed sign recognition system are also standard in the Zeekr X.
“There are close to 100 current five-star ANCAP ratings for alternate-powered vehicles, with most manufacturers proving that new models can be both safe and green” said ANCAP CEO, Carla Hoorweg.
