We've had over 70 nominations so far for the Women in Collision awards sponsored by IAG. Nominations close next Monday so make sure you recognise the women who contribute to your business' success. If you are a bodyshop then what about nominating a woman from one of your suppliers?
The awards are divided into four categories:
- Female technician/estimator
- Admin/customer service/parts managers
- Owner/manager
- Industry supplier representative
Having just cut and paste each individual nominee from the Survey Monkey nomination site I can tell you Lisa Atanasovski from Western General Bodyworks in Victoria has by far the most nominations followed by Clarissa Iacobucci from DSI Panels Croydon. However, while it's nice those popular women have multiple nominations it is all about the profiles written about the nominees and their contribution to the business. We will be asking nominators to fill these out from next Monday via Survey Monkey.
The judging is always undertaken by the previous year's winners.
Should I have to question how much the autobody business in WA values its female team members, as there are very few nominations from that state? South Australia could be better represented too - just saying.
